Born and raised in Long Beach, California, Brenna Malloy developed a desire for making movies at a young age. She graduated from the University of San Francisco after earning a BA in Media Studies. During this time, Brenna also had the opportunity to travel abroad to the reputable Drama Centre London, where she spent two terms studying acting and directing and cultivating a passion for visual storytelling. At Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, Brenna continued her education by earning an MFA in Film Production with an emphasis in directing. As a director, Brenna prides herself on her attention to subtle storytelling detail, her focus on performance, and passion for bringing female characters with depth to the big screen. She endeavors to tell stories close to the heart, while at the same time aiming to reach a wide audience with each film. Her thesis film "Rocket" has won a 2016 Student Academy Award.
Ashley Platz has been acting, writing and producing for over a decade. Her film Testing won best short at NYC Indie Film Fest where Ashley also took home Best Actress and won honorable mention at Women's Independent Film Festival. She is also a published poet and an activist.
With a background originally in theatre, Alexandra graduated with her BFA in acting from UNC Greensboro. A university film acting class catapulted her enthusiasm for acting in film/tv as well as producing. Since moving to LA, she has been acting, producing and creating SPFX makeup for films and TV series.
Jessica Borne studied at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London where she received her MA in Acting for Screen. Since then she has gone on to star in BAFTA Nominated director Janis Pugh's film in The Befuddled Box of Betty Buttifint. Jessica is currently living in Los Angeles producing and acting in film.
Tina Carbone is an award-winning producer with over fifty credits under her belt. She moved to Los Angeles in 2010, but has been producing film and media content for close to two decades. She is credited as a producer on dozens of short films, many of which have showcased at well-respected festivals and won multiple awards. Tina is also active in the female filmmakers community as an advocate for women on set. She has used her enthusiasm and creativity to grow a successful career elevating productions with smaller budgets into high quality films. Her impeccable work ethic and diverse experience makes her a welcome addition to the team of driven women behind this film.
